Mother Dears Peanut Butter Cookies
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Cup of Butter (Margarine is okay)
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
2 Eggs
Sift into a bowl Flour, salt, baking soda. (if you don’t have a sifter, just put in bowl and use a fork to sift it). In the mixer mix butter, sugar on low speed until creamed. Add Eggs one at a time. Then add the Peanut Butter. Continue to mix for about 3-4 minutes. Finally add the flour on low speed a little at a time until completely mixed.
Place on cookie sheet small round balls, use a spoon to measure. use a fork to create the grid on top. Bake on 350 for 8-10 minutes then let cool on sheet for about 2-3 minutes. Enjoy
Get Creative:
*Place a Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cup in the center of the cookie to make an extra Special Treat!
Tricie’s Chocolate Chip Cookies:
1 Cup of Butter Flavored Crisco
3/4 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
2 1/4 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Sift into a bowl Flour, salt, baking soda. (if you don’t have a sifter, just put in bowl and use a fork to sift it). In the mixer mix Crisco, sugar on low speed until creamed. Crack eggs in a bowl, add vanilla then pour in sugar mixture one at a time. Continue to mix for about 3-4 minutes. Finally add the flour on low speed a little at a time until completely mixed. Then slow mix in the chocolate chips.
Place on cookie sheet small round balls, use a spoon to measure. Bake on 350 for 8-10 minutes then let cool on sheet for about 2-3 minutes. Enjoy
Get Creative:
*Make them Toll House by adding 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
*Blonde Toll House: use white Chocolate Chips and Chopped Walnuts
*Thicker Than a Snicker Doodle, replace chips with Snickers Baking Pieces (I found them at Rite Aid)
Those are my 2 Personal Recipes that i chose to share with you. The good thing about baking for the Holiday’s is that you can be so festive and creative with your baking. Use the Christmas candies that we have coupons for and jazz up any cookie or cake recipe you have. Add a little flair to Santa’s Cookies this year.
